District staff is busy putting together dates and locations for compost seminars in 2016. We also sell backyard compost bins, kitchen pails, and turners.
OALPRP offers college scholarships
The Ohio Association of Litter Prevention & Recycling Professionals (OALPRP) is offering a scholarship opportunity for college students with an interest in Environmental Science or Environmental Education.
Businesses: Recycle more, save more
The District will host a free instructional seminar for businesses on March 16. Learn how to start or improve a workplace recycling program.
The ZeroWasteNEO Working Group will present a workshop on how to host zero and reduced waste events on Tuesday, March 15 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at the Solid Waste District. . The workshop will provide helpful solutions to reduce waste from events, including planning, communications, volunteer recruiting and day-of trouble shooting.
