Student Scholarships
C.R. Meyers Scholarship
Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District is a member of the Ohio Association of Recycling and Litter Prevention Professionals. Each year, the Association awards a scholarship to a college-bound high school senior or college enrolled student staying in Ohio. Major must be declared in environmental sciences or environmental education. It's $1,000.00 scholarship. The application must be completed and emailed by noon on April 15 or postmarked by April 15. Ohio EPA Scholarship
These merit based, nonrenewable, scholarships will be given to undergraduate students admitted to Ohio state or private colleges and universities who can demonstrate their knowledge and commitment to careers in environmental sciences or environmental engineering. Students must be in the final year of the program by the autumn term. Awardees will be selected by an Academy appointed panel using a blind review process. Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees, books, personal protection equipment, tools, instruments and field equipment but not housing.
All submissions will be done online due by April 15. More information for where and how to submit will be posted once it is available. A list of previous winner and the topics of recent winning projects can be found on the Ohio EPA website.
