Scout/Youth Organizations
Our education specialist can come to your site and conduct hands-on activities on recycling, composting and many other environmental activities. Challenge your campers and participants to a no garbage lunch and have them collect trash and recycling items to make crafts and other useful gifts.
Reduce, reuse and recycle can be incorporated into summer day camp, library and youth programs. Our Education Specialist can teach campers how to make crafts from items that would normally be thrown away.
Through simple activities the Reduce, Reuse, Recycle Patch Program will teach scouts and other children how to reduce, reuse and recycle.
Have your students, scouts or kids learn about recycling by playing a game with a recycling fundana.
Throughout the year, the District sponsors contests for students to encourage environmental stewardship through creative writing, art or hands-on recycling projects.
This section contains information, lessons, ideas and project to help teachers and students celebrate Earth Day and to learn about their environment.
Publications are available for educators that wish to teach about recycling and composting.
