* Great interactive hands-on activity
- The Ohio Department of Natural Resources guidebook, Windows On Waste, provides 36
activities for third through sixth grades. The guidebook is organized in fourteen units
on solid waste and environmental issues. The activities pertain to real world
environmental issues that the student can participate in solving, and they promotes
learner-centered education by inquiry and community action opportunities. The activities
have been designed to meet Ohio Proficiency Learning Outcomes for science, math, social
studies and language arts.
- To schedule a Windows on Waste activity or other solid waste or recycling
presentation, contact Kathleen Rocco at 216-443-3731 or
