Classroom Programs
Invite our education specialist, Kathleen Rocco, into your classroom. Enrich
student learning about our environment. She can talk about trashy topics
such as garbage, landfills, waste reduction, recycling, composting, litter
prevention, plastics, etc.
Environmental Projects
Environmental Projects: Check out this section for hands-on environmental
education ideas, which offers practical experience to help your classroom meet
State of Ohio Proficiency Outcomes. Projects will require advanced planning
and may involve long term commitment. Future students can benefit from
partnerships made today.
Teacher Workshops
Hands-on interdisciplinary workshops are available for K-12 teachers. Workshops
and training sessions can be designed and organized for your entire school or
school district. Substitute pay is available for teachers who attend workshops
held during school hours.
School Recycling Mini-Grant Program
The Solid Waste District will award mini-grants of up to $500 to assist Cuyahoga
County schools with funding student-centered school recycling projects.
