Industrial Waste Reduction and Recycling Assistance Program
Cuyahoga County manufacturers produce 1.7 million tons of waste
every year. Disposal of this waste burdens Ohio's landfill
capacity and adds to companies' overhead.
To help manufacturers implement effective waste management and
recycling practices, the District sponsors the Industrial Waste
Reduction and Recycling Assistance Program in conjunction with
CAMP Inc. (formerly, the
Cleveland Advanced Manufacturing Program).
Manufacturers participating in this free program receive hands on
assistance from CAMP's experienced engineers. These engineers
will visit your company, perform a waste analysis and help you
identity and implement waste reduction opportunities. Waste
reduction is a proven money saving technique that can often be
implemented with little or no cost. Most site visits take about
three hours.
Since this program was started in 1997, 175 manufacturers have
taken advantage of the service and are realizing cost savings by
implementing CAMP's recommendations. Your company can too.
