Are your closets filled with clothes that you never wear? How about donating those clothes to someone who can use them? Click here to find a charitable organization that accept clothing donations or drop off your clothing at one of the following drop-off sites.
Planet Aid collects clothing and shoes to help clothe and generate funds for people in developing countries across the world. Place your clothes in Planet Aid's large yellow collection bins at 68 locations in Cuyahoga County.
Clothing and shoes placed in the bins are prepared for resale at a warehouse in Cleveland. Some clothes are resold in the U.S. by Planet Aid secondhand stores, or are sold in bulk to commercial dealers. Proceeds from these sales are used for community development projects in Central America, Africa and Asia. Donated clothes are also shipped directly to projects and organizations overseas.
All profits generated by Planet Aid support community development projects and disaster relief efforts in developing countries. Programs supported by Planet Aid include Child Aid in Central America and AIDS prevention and education in South Africa. For more information about Planet Aid, email info@planetaid.org.
