The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District provides year-round litter collection services to communities in Cuyahoga County through a partnership with Court Community Service Inc. Court Community Service is a non-profit agency that arranges community service work for adult offenders referred by the Cuyahoga County Municipal and Common Pleas courts. More than 18,000 free man hours is provided annually to participating communities. This provides the extra help our communities need to help keep their public areas and roadways clean. Since 1990, more than 180,000 bags of litter have been removed.

"The Litter Collection Program funded by the Solid Waste District is truly a needed and valuable service to the residents of Richmond Heights. Residents feel much more positive about their community when there is no visible litter along the city streets. Clean streets discourage others from dropping litter."
Donald Lazar, Richmond Heights Service Director

"The City of Euclid has been receiving this service for a number of years. We have found this service to have a very positive impact on the overall appearance of the city.
Henry E. Gulich, Euclid Service Director

"On behalf of the Village of Glenwillow, I would like to thank Court Community Service and the Solid Waste District for the litter collection services provided by your work crews. Litter collection is both time consuming and costly, however, a necessary and important service that enhances the physical appearance of our community.
Donald N. Payne, Mayor of Glenwillow

"I can't tell you how much this service is needed and I am extremely pleased with the results after your crews have completed their job on our village."
Timothy Pitts, Bentleyville Chief of Police
