Assemblies

Each year the Solid Waste District sponsors performances for school assemblies. Shows are interactive, exciting, educational, and raise awareness of recycling. Schools can request to have an assembly by calling (216) 443-3731. The District sponsors the following show:

The Illusion Maker performs a magic or game show geared to recycling and the environment. Students will be learning as well as dancing in their seats. The magic show is for upper elementary and middle school students. The game show is geared to middle school students. Shows are scheduled in the late summer for a date during the fall term.

If you need a speaker for Earth Day, career days or another event, our Education Specialist will be happy to speak to your class or group.

The 50’s Rock-n-Roll Magic Show

There’s nothing in either container. The Illusion Maker pulls out recyclables and reusable items to reduce waste.

A student tries to mimic the Illusion Maker, but can’t seem to get the crayon to point in the same direction.

Like this magic trick it is possible to help the environment through recycling. Make It A Habit: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

Do You Believe in Magic? Show

Students help demostrate the magic tricks while learning to help the environment.

The Illusion Maker

The Illusion Maker performs magic while teaching students about the environment. As contestants, students answer recycling questions for Who Wants To Be A Know It All. Environmental knowledge and skills are tested during the Super Survivor game show.
